Mario Miranda, born in 1926 in Goa, was a legendary artist and cartoonist celebrated for finding humor in the everyday. His iconic drawings captured the essence of bustling streets, lively gatherings, and his travels across the world; from Paris to New York, Macau to Japan. Invited by cultural institutions and airlines alike, Mario’s pen turned ordinary scenes into vivid stories filled with wit and character. Over his lifetime, he created unforgettable cartoons for newspapers, advertisements, and exhibitions, leaving behind a body of work that feels like a travel diary of his observations.
