Murtaza, an artist and designer in Pune, draws inspiration from everyday things and people. He likes using bold colours and shapes to amuse and provoke thought. He draws and writes primarily to make sense of things and, most importantly, elicit a chuckle.
The Matchbox Collection is one that’s especially close to our hearts. Inspired by Murtaza, one of our co-founders and a passionate matchbox collector, this series celebrates the quirky, bold, and nostalgic designs of Indian matchbox art. Each puzzle is a 99-piece mini adventure, compact, vibrant, and full of character. Matchboxes in India have always been a mirror of everyday life, blending humor, design, and culture. With 12 unique puzzles; some drawn from iconic labels and others crafted fresh in our studio; the Matchbox Collection is our tribute to this timeless form of art.
